About the program

Spend your summer learning about Irish culture, history and society! The UCC summer program revolves around a theme related to Irish history and literature. Spend your mornings in lectures, afternoons in lively discussion, and take a series of relevant field trips. In your free time, explore Cork's many restaurants and cafes, or take part in Cork's eclectic music scene.

About Cork

Along the southern coast of Ireland, Cork is a beautiful, friendly city with a busy seaport and modern industries. Treasures include its rich cultural heritage, with an art gallery, opera house, three theaters and a city museum in the garden of Fitzgerald Park.

Program Benefits

  • Beautiful campus with nice facilities (including a gym equipped for student athletes)
  • Dedicated scholars who instruct in Irish literature and history
  • County Cork is truly one of a kind, offering a distinct Irish experience in the second largest city in Ireland
  • Social program designed for study abroad students, including historical tours of Munster, field trips and traditional Irish music concerts

Scholarships

IFSA scholarships are primarily need-based and factor in any additional cost your study abroad program might have over home school tuition. The awards are $500 for summer programs, $1,500 for semester programs and $2,500 for full year programs. These scholarships may apply to any IFSA program, with the exception of our custom programs.
