Make the vibrant Ho Chi Minh City – still known to many as Saigon – your home this summer. Study in English at a contemporary university with Vietnamese classmates and international faculty. Your three weeks in Southeast Asia will expose you to the country’s history, vibrant food, and diverse entertainment it is known for in the region. Vietnam’s central location in Southeast Asia makes it a great hub for visiting nearby destinations like Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos or continuing to discover Vietnam in places like Hanoi and H? Long!

Location:
Once was called the Pearl of the Far-East, Saigon Gia Dinh (later renamed as Ho Chi Minh City) has never failed that title. Ho Chi Minh City's architecture and lifestyle represent special Vietnamese traits with contemporary touch of American and French characteristics. These days, the city is one of Vietnam's key cultural, trading, and education hubs. And its central location in Southeast Asia is perfect for visiting nearby destinations like Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, and Malaysia.

For anyone with a passion for food, studying and living in Ho Chi Minh City offers you the opportunity to experience not only Pho (traditional soup) and Com Tam (broken rice) but also many diverse flavors, from restaurant food to street food. In order to experience the best tastes of street food, you need to know the right places, and the easiest way to do that is getting recommendations from your Vietnamese “buddy,” a local student who is matched with you and will help you acclimate to your new home.

Ho Chi Minh is a dynamic city with a variety of entertainment, day and night. Learn about the history of the city by visiting its famous museums, or simply take in the local culture through strolls through the parks or stops at the many coffee shops. The City’s nightlife is thriving as well. From night markets to clubs to street food stalls, you’ll always have something to keep you busy. And, remember, you’re studying in the tropics! Just over an hour’s drive from Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau offers a relaxing experience on the beach.
