Program Information:
Intern in Argentina offers internships in business, education, and communication, set in the international and vibrant city of Buenos Aires. You could find yourself working with large international companies or smaller entrepreneurial ones. The city itself is always moving, with millions of people working, eating, and having fun into all hours of the morning. While the Argentine accent takes a little getting used to, the great city of Buenos Aires is easy for anyone to love.

Here are some things to expect while on this unique program:
  • Eat some of the best food in the world in the restaurants and markets of Buenos Aires
  • Homestay experience to learn more about Argentine culture
  • Placements for beginner or advanced Spanish speakers
  • Strong onsite support from our wonderful Site Director
  • Amazing excursion out of the city, to a traditional Estancia where you’ll ride horses and live like a ‘gaucho’
  • Wide range of internship fields with high level placements
Locations:
Buenos Aires is the second largest city in Latin America with 14 million people. Visitors call it the “Paris of the South” because it resembles a European city. Here, you'll find tree-lined streets, cafes on every corner, and fantastic shopping. You'll dance the tango and drink yerba mate in this cosmopolitan metropolis that never seems to sleep.

Porteños will love showing you their lifestyle and helping you learn Spanish in their unique accented speech. For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, ask a new friend to bring you to the Superclásico. This is a fútbol match between local rivals Boca Juniors and River Plate. City-wide support is split between the two teams, which means fans get very passionate!  Buenos Aires’ fun, vibrant environment is full of activities. You can shop and stroll on Calle Florida or at Plaza Francia. Visit the free Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, the center of Argentine art. Relax or study in the postcard-perfect Plaza de Mayo or walk the cobblestone streets of San Telmo. Finally, you can fall in love with Palermo’s parks.

As a CISabroad summer or semester student in Buenos Aires, you'll be based in Belgrano. The largely residential neighborhood offers tree-lined avenues and tranquil parks. As a result, many upper-class Argentines and expatriates call this area home. Palermo, the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, sits between Belgrano and the official downtown area. Therefore, you'll have easy access to everything from sports stadiums to a planetarium, botanical gardens, and parks. Many of the areas within Palermo are considered to be trend setters in Argentinian fashion and art, so prepare to be wowed.
